Updated July 2026 · Hellbrunn Palace Tickets Concierge Team

Hellbrunn sits about four kilometres south of Salzburg's old town, and it's an easy trip whether you're on public transport, driving, or up for a scenic ride.

By bus

City bus 25 is the direct route, running from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof through the centre (Rathaus) to the Hellbrunn stop at the gates. It's roughly 15–20 minutes from the old town.

By car

Driving takes around 15 minutes from the centre, with parking available near the entrance. It's a simple run south on the B150.

By bike or on foot

The straight, tree-lined Hellbrunner Allee is a classic Salzburg walk or cycle down to the palace, taking a leisurely hour on foot.
